The Warrior Gateway Project is developing its brand and coming up with a logo for the launch of its full-featured site. The site is geared toward an audience of armed service veterans, so it needs to maintain some level of resonance with a military aesthetic, but the design should also be guided by the fact that the site is distinctly “something new” — it’s a shiny new well-functioning web tool (basically Yelp for nonprofits), so the logo should convey a sense of newness, cleanliness, and uniqueness. All in all, an interesting design challenge.
Here’s the logo we’re currently working with on a temporary basis, which I tweaked:
