Saturday night I shot the ‘Stills & Flicks’ launch party at the House of Sweden, celebrating the opening of “What Lies Beneath: Nature and Urban Landscape,” a photo exhibition involving 20 EU photographers exploring “the nuances of natural and built environments.” Also being celebrated was the AFI EU Film Showcase, which is featuring ‘Mammoth’ by Swedish filmmaker Lukas Moodysson. And finally, the “Facing the Future: Sustainability the Swedish Way” exhibit was on display, providing a fun mix of information and visual indulgence – think dioramas of tiny cows looking at a soccer ball.
